Syed Arslan Abbas Rizvi received his Ph.D. degree from Xi'an Jiaotong University, China, majoring in Power Engineering and Engineering Thermophysics. His main research interests include renewable energy, solar energy, artificial intelligence, and machine learning.

He has been a visiting lecturer at the European University of Applied Sciences, and a researcher at the Engineering Innovation Centre (EIC) and the Centre for Sustainable Energy Technologies, King’s University, Saudi Arabia. Also, he successfully deployed a 100kw hybrid solar and wind power system, installed 66 heliostat field mirrors in the sunshot project and taught three cohorts of electrical engineering students.
